Letter from M Goupy to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter informing Owen of his experience of communicating with the spirit of his deceased mother through a table mesmerised by himself and three friends. Goupy outlines the process in detail. He tells Owen that three Catholic Priests are coming to London after having carried out several similar experiments and claim to have contacted Jesus.

Goupy concludes the letter by saying that Napoleon still hasn't given him an answer regarding his proposal to set up a model city for workmen.
