Letter from Monsieur Cabet to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter written in French and addressed to the "venerable et cher frere en humanité" [venerable and dear brother in humanity]. The letter discusses the writers admiration for Owen and explains that he sent him some of his works to read.

Annotated on the rear is a short note from Charles Sully indicating he received this letter from Cabet in that day's post, along with some advice on books Owen should read. Sully notes he will not have the books for a couple of days, and wonders if he should send them to Owen or wait until he next sees him.
