This item consists of three distinct parts; a manuscript letter from Finch to Owen, a manuscript letter from Finch to [William] Clegg and a manuscript copy of a Resolution passed by the Committee of the National Community Friendly Society on the reverse a which is a letter to Finch from George Fleming.
Finch's letter to Owen informs him that a Mr [William] Hodson of Upwell, [Wisbech, Norfolk] wishes to meet him regarding a plan he has for "colonization". Further discussion follows of the progress of Owen's schemes.
The letter to Clegg, written on the same sheet as the Owen letter, makes reference to a letter received from Mr [George] Fleming.
The letter from Fleming refers to the enclosed Resolution, passed by the National Community Friendly Society, which stipulates that the old Trustees of the Society shall transfer all monies to newly appointed Trustees.
