Letter from Alex Morison to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter, in which Morison explains he once used to attend Owen's Sunday lectures at the Mechanics Institute, but no longer does so for fear that "Priests should pounce" upon him. He explains he gained more from those lectures than he did from the "2444 Sundays" of his life [attending church] when he learnt nothing more than "Out-of-Nature absurdities".

Owen is asked to call on Morison should he be in the area [Somers Town, London].
