Letter from M Gaskell to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter expressing thanks to Owen for informing him of his plans but wishing he was able to see him. Gaskell says that he hopes he is looking after his niece and that they are both missed and often the subject of conversation amongst his circle of friends. Gaskell encloses extracts from Southey and Coleridge which he asks Owen to give to the Editor of the 'Times'.
