Letter from Thomas Allsop to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

This manuscript letter opens with Allsop remarking that he may visit Owen in France and commenting that Louis Blanc "seems to have a fine mind".

Discussion of recent events in England follows, with Allsop noting that the "Charter Convention decided to upon meeting in spite of the authorities". He is sure Owen will have seen this in the papers and remarks that he is "satisfied we are approaching a very great era".
