Letter from James Rigby to Robert Owen

Archive Unit

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter, in which Owen is informed of the ongoing legal negotiations regarding the drawing up of a Deed for Pierre Baume's estate. Rigby is exasperated, and writes whilst he is as "ignorant as a donkey on Law matters" he believes that selling or giving a estate should be just as simple a process as "selling or giving a horse".
