Letter from W[illia]m Holmes to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter: Holmes informs Owen that the gentleman, Mr Armitage, that he boarded with last time he came to Newcastle has "failed" and that his house has passed into the hands of another. Therefore, "B.B. has engaged to provide" Owen with a bed for when he visits Newcastle, but because Holmes was not commissioned to do so, a private sitting room has not been procured in addition because they are quite expensive.
