Underhill writes of the community at Kendal in which he lives and extends an invite for Owen to visit. In his reply Owen writes he is pleased to see the community doing so well and will endeavour to visit shortly.

Samuel Underhill was instrumental in the setting up of a community at Kendal, Stark County, Ohio in 1826. The community lasted until the spring of 1829.
