Letter from Thomas Allsop to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Owen is urged to "husband his energies" and not "throw away an atom" of his health and strength. Allsop believes Owen is in danger of forgetting "the high wisdom of his precipts - that first and foremost duty - moderation and temperance, you are in the fervour of your zeal for the good of mankind are in danger of excess".
