Letter from Henry Hetherington to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter: Hetherington informs Owen that he has formed a new society called, The Social Friends' Society, in order to "re-unite a few friends of Rationalism" and for the purpose of "studying the book of the New Moral World, and the other important works" that Owen has published to "benefit Mankind."

Hetherington asks whether Owen would attend a festival being organized by the society, as his many "devoted admirers" are "anxious" to meet him and hear of his aspirations for the future.
