Letter from Samuel Austin to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter with opens with Atkins discussing matters regarding his struggle paying bills at the labour Exchange - in particular one to Vizetellys the printers. Mention is made of an article in the Pioneer which states that Masters of Derby have "turned out their men for belonging to a trade union", adding that money has been raised for the men at a meeting at the Institution and a further Public Meeting is planned to try and find them employment.

The letter concludes with Atkins asking Owen to where should he forward mail for both him, including the bills from Vizitellys, and a number of other individuals.
