Letter from Caroline Anderson, Lady Anderson to Robert Owen

Manuscript letter informing Owen he should not visit her Ladyship whilst she is staying at her daughter's house as her Son-in-Law is "violently opposed to all yr [your] ideas". She writes of he longing to return to France, but warns Owen that Mdme. Gatti de Gamond, whom she spent 2 months with, is not the person to promote Owen's plans as she is "most susceptible person you can imagine, full of her own importance".
