Letter from Thomas Allsop to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Allsop remarks, it is "useless to think the matter, progress true liberty equality and paternity is a plant which must be watered with blood" He hopes that Owen will "cultivate Louis Blanc" as both "he and Albert are evidently minds capable of repeating themselves and of changing opinion". In France he is sure that blood will soon be "spilt like water and it cannot be otherwise".
