Letter from Samuel Cornish to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

This manuscript letter opens with an Cornish insisting that he will not apologies for writing Owen such a long and matter-of-fact letter.

Conversation then focuses on a tract, Outline of a National System, which Cornish has put together to be released at 3 1/2[d] per dozen rather than the original price of 3d each. He explains the reason for the positioning of some of the passages and asks for Owen's consent to send to the printers for publishing.

Detailed discussion of the nature of the content of the tract; the addition of an article will stop it from being "far too dry & frigid for the poetical and the imaginative" and Cornish asserts the "religion" he and Owen profess must be a "universal religion - a religion fitted for all minds".
