Letter from James Rigby to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Rigby complies with Owen's request to report on the reception he received when delivering Owen's Memorial. He recounts being cordially received at India House and the Bank of England, and notes having no problems leaving them at shops and warehouses. However, some problems were met at the [London] Guild Hall leading to Rigby having a "lower opinion" of Sheriffs and Aldermen.
