Letter from Richard Baker to Robert Owen.

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Richard Baker informs Owen that is prevented from leaving Weymouth and visit Harmony Hall as he has "peculiar obligations to my mother". Baker is currently employed as tutor to the children of the Hon. John Ward, but writes that "with regard to the situation which you are so kind as to offer me...I should gladly accept it should I be considered adapted for it".
