Letter from Thomas Allsop to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

This manuscript letter refers to Owen leaving England [for France]. Before he does, Allsop wishes to repeat his feelings of "devotion and admiration and ? to the wisest & best man it was ever my good fortune to know". Owen is advised to beware of the cold "of that tarnation country". On his return Owen is invited to stay with Allsop.
