Letter from John McKenzie to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter informing Owen that the Hall was opened on the 20th October by G.J. Holyoake who gave lectures in the morning and evening. McKenzie reports both lectures were well attended by "earnest listeners who seemed to be of one mind as to the truth of the principles then enunciated". The address Owen forwarded for reading at both the morning and evening lectures was read by Mr James Campbell.

Mckenzie assures Owen that the Committee will give their full support in promoting his journal.
