Letter from John Wright Jnr. to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter: Wright, further to the previous letter that he sent to Owen, now recounts what he remembers of David Dale, his history and their interactions; revealing that he first met Dale when Wright was 15 years old.

He then discloses the financial accounts, in the form of tables, of the Dale/Owen partnership under the name of the New Lanark Company, and later on under the sole leadership of Owen, Robert Owen & Co., between 1811 and 1828; detailing profits, losses, and interests.
