Letter from George Simpson to Robert Owen

Manuscript letter in which Simpson says he is going to New York to act as a representative for his employers who are 'paper stainers' and asks if Owen can give a letter of introduction to the New York Tribune. He says that he is leaving for New York from Liverpool the following month. Simpson goes on to say that he would have liked to have seen Owen in London but was not able to.
