Letter from Robert Owen to Napoelon III

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Robert Owen states that Napoleon III is in a position to propose and support a "great mission of peace" with the other rulers in Europe, and create a "glorious future before the human race." This change can begin immediately, states Owen, if the present leading rulers in Europe possess the "sufficient energy, wisdom and foresight" to act. Owen asks Napoleon to consult with the spirit of his uncle, Napoleon I, who he believes will assist in this endeavour.
