Letter from Andrei Bernard Smolnikar to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter in which Smolnikar refers to Owen as President of the World's Convention. He says that he is not able to be present at the convention, and asks Owen if he can convey the contents of his letter to those who attend. Smolnikar, who is writing from Albany, New York, says that he used to be Catholic priest and a professor of divinity but he was called upon by the Spirit of God to go to America and proclaim the Millennium. He quotes an article Owen wrote in the Tribune and he says that people will gradually change their beliefs

Smolnikar says that they cannot proceed until they get the right ideas about the spirit world and their connections to this world but he believes that a true reformation will happen in their time. He says that he has published in both English and German but need another publisher.
