Scope and Content

Manuscript: A memorial from Hobson addressed to the Board of Commissioners of Stamps and Taxes. Hobson has been summoned before the Leeds Borough Magistrates for printing New Moral World without paying stamp duty, though Hobson believes that New Moral World was certified as a religious organ, and therefore exempt from the tax. Hobson asks for the Board to investigate the matter.
