Letter from Alex Campbell to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter informing Owen that Atkins has recovered from his illness and is going about his business in his usual manner; visiting London, Barnet, Reading, Uxbridge and others this week. Campbell writes that Atkins was grateful for the mention he received in Owen's publication, and he will be even more so when learning Owen wrote to Her Majesty Queen Victoria and Prince Albert about Atkins intentions.

Atkins has purchased some 45 acres of land close to Oxford on which to construct his "Scientific Industrial Education project"; Atkins is confident of its success.
