Letter from Henry Price to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter in which Price informs Owen that General Cavaignac, Minister of War, has called upon the Academy of Political and Moral Science "to lend their active assistance in defence of society threatened with anarchy - declaring that the sword is powerless to triumph over ideas...".He also answers Owen's question from an earlier correspondence regarding whether or not his account with the printer/publisher, Napoleon Chaix, had been paid. Price informs him that although the costs of production [presumably for posters or the like] had not been settled, the bill sticker had been paid.
