Letter from James Rigby to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Rigby provides Owen with an update of the progress he has made with tasks carried out on Owen's behalf. This includes delivering Owen's newspapers to [John] Finch, forwarding Owen several newspapers and going through Owen's letter and finding a number of Labour Notes; a few have been saved as Owen suggested, some have been "sent...to all parts of the world" and Rigby asks here what should be done with the remainder.

Rigby closes the letter by writing that he would like to have some "fun" with the Government and the Stock Exchange and sets-out the details of a plan which would see the establishment of a "Rational Colony".
