In this manuscript letter, William Pare expresses his pleasure at the progress that Robert Owen is making in America, and of the increasingly apparent "advanced state of the public mind" with regards to their cause.
Pare has copied an article from the Spectator newspaper, "one of the most influential of the Weekly papers amongst the thinking and influential classes" that he was delighted with, entitled "Human Nature and the Basis for Human Law". The article questions the current law system, claiming it does not take into account human nature.
Pare informs Owen of the disappointing lack of progress regarding the Harmony [Queenwood] affairs.
Finally, Pare urges Owen to complete his memoirs.
