Letter from Philip Orkney Skene to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter in which Skene says that a Mr Bryan is keen to meet Owen to the extent that he has offered to deliver Skene's letter to him. He talks about the success of the Co-operative Benevolent Association in Brighton, and that they have purchased land at Hickstead to undertake gardening. Skene says that Owen's presence would strengthen the Society.

Skene carries on to say that Owen should pay attention to the new Royal British Schools of Industry, which he hopes will give pupils a better routine.
