Manuscript letter thanking Owen for the latest copies of his journal delivered via Mr Allsop [presumably Thomas Allsop, a member of the Stock Exchange who had refused to serve on an Old Bailey jury as a social protest- "Robert Owen and the Owenites in Britain and America", Harrison, J. F. C.; 1969: 225].Laments the unsatisfactory political and social state of France due to Louis Bonaparte's determination to remain in power and suggests that as a result "the struggles ... must take place during the next 6 months". Mentions Goupy's success in getting some articles inserted in the press, before inviting Owen to Paris, should he have any inclination to visit the city.Concludes by
