Letter from Joseph Westbrook to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter, in which Westbrook explains that he has invented a machine to count electors votes during the elections of Members of Parliament. The machine works without "any human aid or interference whatsoever", resulting in "unquestionable satisfaction" and "greater perfection". Owen is asked by Westbrook to consider the invention, and any suggestions he makes will be greatly appreciated.
