Letter from John Moss to G[eorge] A. Fleming

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Owen is asked to open a Working Man's Institution in Hyde, and also requested to deliver a series of lectures in the Institution. If Owen is agreeable, then this would ignite in the village a "new zeal to the spirit of enquiry" and would also "remove a deal of prejudice" faced by many members from employers "averse" to Owen's system.
