Letter from John Henry to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter: Henry asks whether he will have the pleasure of Owen's company on Friday evening, and asks that at a meeting a resolution should be proposed to create a new association (labour exchange). He suggests several rules for the association should the motion be approved. These rules include: every man and woman that contributes 3 or 6 pence regularly will be considered a member of the association, the creation of district associations, and that every district association should appoint one of its members, annually, to sit on the committee board of the parent association.
