Letter from Le Chevalier Augrand to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter, opening with Augrand writing of journeying through Scotland, Ireland and England in an attempt to become accustomed with Owen's views and to see the practical application of them. He was "extremely gratified" with what he saw and learnt, and was encouraged to obtain as many of Owen's documents has he could find, despite some of them being "very rare".

Closes by writing of calling on Owen, but finding him not there; would like to arrange a meeting.
