In this manuscript letter Owen is asked to call the press, with the exception of The Times and Dispatch, to account for failing to comment on the "murderous atrocity" inflicted in the name of discipline on J. H.. Edmonson of the 1st Guards for falling asleep at his post in the Tower [of London].
