Letter from Alex Campbell to Robert Owen

Archive Unit

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter enquiring of Owen's health and well-being due to Campbell not having received any letters or communication through any other "medium". Tells Owen that for the past two weeks his "name principles and practice" have been exhibited to the public in the Oxford Town Hall Library and Reading Room, and additionally in an article in the Oxford Chronicle; these have been well received.

Atkins is now able to move about, but is unemployed and with little prospect of work: Campbell's time with him "must terminate immediately".
