Letter from John Henry to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter: Henry reminds Owen that a few years ago he bought premises at Finsbury square for the purpose of opening a depot for manufactured productions, with the intention that it would allow the working classes to dispose of their productions. He now feels that the time is right to make proper use of these premises as a depot, but in order for this to be achieved, capital is needed. Henry suggests creating a stock company and has already discussed the matter with a number of people. He requests Owen's thoughts on the manner.
