Manuscript letter addressed to Owen from Braxfield House the home of Owen's wife and family at this point in time. It would appear that Applegarth and his family are living with the Owen family, and Applegarth states that he and his wife are "considered more like the son and daughter of Robert Owen than any other parties". Discusses the progress of human nature and education - particularly chemistry - and feels they should get Thomson's Chemistry, which has just been published.
