Letter from Henry James to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter, in which James writes of how seeing coverage of Owen in his local Carmarthen newspapers has caused him to recall a previous letter he wrote to Owen in August 1826. Owen is asked if he ever received this letter, which outlined a tour James made of various parts of England during which he saw "more misery than at home [Wales]".
