Letter from James Rigby to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Rigby provides an account of his progress carrying out tasks and errands on Owen's behalf. Rigby tells of meeting Mr [William] Offord at Poplar, [London] on Friday and of finding him a "simple minded, though intelligent" man who left a favourable impression; he gave Rigby a parcel to send to Owen. However, Rigby did not have time to call on Louis Blanc, he will do so soon.
