Letter from David Vines to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter: Vines informs Owen that he and his friends have put a deposit down to hire the theatre until October, with the desire that Owen or another suitable candidate will give an opening lecture. He asks if Owen would be willing to do so, or it not, to recommend an "able man."

In a postscript it states the letter is for Owen, but has been directed to Mr. Bailey so that he may forward it to him.
