Letter from Alex Campbell to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Campbell recounts to Owen an incident the previous week where he was thrown from the carriages of a train and became crushed between the train's footboard and the platform. He tells that his thigh bone was broken and he has other severe bruising, but is glad to report that he is now "considered free from danger" and will soon be able to return to his duties [as a social missionary].
