Letter from William Pare to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter, William Pare suggests that the aristocracy are alarmed by the French Revolution, 1848 and the English Industrial Revolution. He discusses the opinions of newspapers, including the Times. Pare tells Owen that he believes the French Revolution will be particularly helpful to their cause. Pare hopes that the French Government will be able to introduce a new system of money before they become entangled quickly in the meshes of the Rothschilds and other leviathans of his order.
