Letter from J.C. Loudon to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter [Mr] J.C. Loudon informs Robert Owen that he has recently read a letter of his and found it very interesting, and states that he also has a "deep interest in everything which concerns the progress of society."

Loudon has sent Owen two of his own tracts (not included with letter) relating to education, and believes they share similar views on the subject. Loudon has also sent Owen copies of the latest Gardener's Magazine and Magazine of Natural History.

Loudon concludes the letter by asking Owen to return a "French pamphlet" that was lent once he is finished with it, as it is Loudon's only copy.
