Letter from Henry A. Ivory to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter, discussing plans to set up a Committee for the purpose of raising a fund for the "propaganda" [of Owen's views]. Ivory explains that between 40 and 50 principal towns have been contacted, and already several have responded "promising their hearty Co-operation". The funds raised are to be used in translating Owen's works so they can then be sent to every "distinguished foreigner" visiting England.
