Manuscript letter informing Owen that the Birmingham Reform League have invited Mr George Cooper to become a member of the League and be its representative at the forthcoming Congress in London. Morton explains Cooper consented to this, with the proviso there would be "no theology mixed up with the business". Cooper is also reported here to have declared to his congregation from the pulpit that he was a "socialist". Morton believes that Cooper will be in London the following week and is likely to call on Owen. He hopes Owen will "mould him" to his "fashion".
