Frances Morrison (1807-1898), nee Cooper, was born in Surrey and lived there until 15 when she met and married James Morrison. Morrison would become the editor of the Pioneer journal and over time Frances became more interested in radicalism and would, by 1838 and after the death of her husband in 1835, lecture on Owenite topics in a number of institutions in Lancashire and the North.
