Letter from Alex Campbell to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Campbell opens this manuscript letter by discussing a meeting Owen has planned for the 14 May, writing that Mr Atkins' 'Panorama' could be used there, as long as the expense of transporting it from Oxford to St. Martins Hall, [London] is met.

A copy of the Oxford Chronicle sent to Owen contains a report on the address given by J. [John] Ruskin, in which he declared [to the audience] that "Socialism was the principle which must guide and govern them".
