Letter from Joseph Smith to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter in which Smith says he is writing from the depths of agony and despair and he believes that Owen can help to save him from insanity or death. He says advice from Owen would help him, although he himself has shown great strength in the situation. He says that he has been separated from a 'Miss D' and that their affair is only known to themselves. He hopes that any advice Owen can give will reconcile them.
