Ramón Dionisio José de la Sagra y Peris (1798-1871) was a Spanish anarchist, politician, writer and botanist, who founded the world's first anarchist journal, El Porvenir, Spanish for The Future. He was elected as a member of parliament in Spain four times, as a representative of the Liberal Party. He lived in Cuba, where he was a Professor of Natural History, and traveled through the Americas before settling in Paris in 1835.
